Chris did a great job of setting up security on our yard so we can keep track of an escapee dog. The technology is great and easy to use.

Chris Hansen did a fantastic job working with us on updating our stereo and home entertainment system plus looking at improvements to our home security. Rather than being tied to a particular product line, he worked with us to customize for our semi rural location, wifi issues and budget. I've never heard of a service that promised to "shop the sales". His installation included training which made the latest technology seem easy, especially when he said to call him if we forgot anything.

Chris set up times to return to train us on the use of the equipment and insure we know the proper operation of the security and automation systems. Chris helped me out of a jam with immediate, knowledgeable service. Our existing router was not working and I was in over my head. I called Chris and he was at our house later that afternoon. He set me up with a google mesh system that is working great.
No internet is not an option with 4 kids in virtual school and Chris delivered an immediate solution that had us back online in a couple of hours.

I've been looking on and off for the last year to get a hardwire ethernet run across my drywalled, finished basement. When I first moved in, I had one electrician no-show, one show up and never send me a quote, and one that did send me a quote, but for about twice what I was expecting, and I'd still have to terminate and test all the runs. I was discouraged, so I lived with WiFi for the last year.

A few weeks ago, I decided to dig into the problem again. I reached out to a well-regarded Madison security and automation company, and after a week of no response, I reached out to a local Facebook group for recommendations. Aptus was recommended, so I called the number and explained what I was looking for.

Chris got back to me right away, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and worked to get things taken care of in days, rather than weeks or months. He was extremely responsive and flexible through the whole estimation and planning process.

I ended up finding an alternative solution to my issues, but if I ever do plan to go back and wire the house up (or if I need security or automation tech installed beyond my own availabilities), I'll be reaching out to Chris again for help.

Two Nest Thermostats from Black Friday sat for almost 2 years. I connected them myself but the air conditioner kept cycling on/off and after talking to Nest, I thought my furnace and AC was not compatible... I talked to Chris at Aptus about my issue, and scheduled to see if he could help. He spent time on the phone with a special Nest Pro team, and found the difficultly to be our Honeywell dual zone system with a Lennox Furnace. Nonetheless, after a couple hours he had both Nests installed and operating just how we needed. I was then able to add them to my Nest app where we control our Cabin Nest. Nothing like the ability to control any thermostat in any home from your phone, and reap the energy savings. We could not have done it without Chris’s determination to make everything work together. Recently my husband and I were having a frustrating time with our respective Yahoo email accounts constantly logging us out every hour. I turned to our tech savvy daughter and when she couldn't find a solution I recalled a neighbor mentioning how helpful Chris is at Aptus. I contacted him and he fixed the issue.
