There are a lot of options on the market when it comes to smart home technology. Our Connecting Smarter consultation is designed to help us get to know you, your home and your lifestyle better. Taking this extra step lets us create a plan designed specifically for you.
For instance, during the consultation, we look at the technology backbone and infrastructure within your home. Unlike other services, we don’t want you to have to research and provide answers about your home’s wiring or network strength. It’s our job to understand the products and services you need. Let us worry about how to make the technology compatible with the items you already own.
Yes, while we recommend Google’s Nest products, we are happy to provide consultation, installation or training on any current system.
That’s a tricky question influenced by many factors. For instance, your home may require small changes to get it “smart-tech” ready. Instead of giving you a starting rate only to tack on extra fees at the time of service or creating a list of technical questions for you to answer to get a rate, we believe there’s a better way.
By starting with a Connecting Smarter consultation, we get to know you, your home and the technology products you already own before making any recommendations.
Aptus’ regular hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday–Friday. We are closed on major holidays so our Smart Technology Architects can spend the time with their friends and family.
Yes. We prefer to provide consultations and installations during regular business hours so we can spend time in the evenings and on weekends with our families. However, we understand traditional business hours don’t work for everyone. So, we’re happy to arrange a time to perform services that works in both our schedules.
For consultations and installations, we prefer to schedule one week out as we all have busy schedules. However, we will do what we can to accommodate your needs. In some instances, service can be done the next day.
No, you don’t need to be home for the installation of the technology. We are insured for all work performed in your home.
In fact, during your Connecting Smarter consultation, we’ll walk through how you can use technology to grant access to service providers and track who and when people enter and exit your home.
Yes. We realize you may not have the budget or desire to integrate your entire home with smart-home technology all at the same time. No matter whether you want to take technology one month at a time or jump all in, we’re committed to creating a plan that works with your budget and lifestyle.
Yes. We’re happy to install and train you on one piece of smart home technology at a time. If all you’re ready for is a video doorbell or smart thermostat, we’re ready to help.
No project is too small. If a project becomes larger than our technicians can handle, we’ll pull in our network’s extensive resources to complete your project.
While our focus is on smart home technology design, we can help you with basic computer installation and setup of your home network.
If the basic technology in your home isn’t functioning properly, we know it’s hard to envision life with smart-home technology in place. If that’s you, let’s talk.
Yes. In fact, we’d love to show you how integrating smart-home technology into those systems creates a more robust experience.
Yes. For larger, high-voltage projects, we partner with our network of electricians to ensure your installation is handled properly. If we need to enlist the services of an electrician to meet your needs, we’ll discuss it during the consultation.
